Petrolina AEK is trying to push the envelope in the Cypriot basketball and has us more than convinced with their tremendous accomplishments in the last year, with a championship against APOEL in the finals and an outstanding course in the FIBA Eurocup.
Team owner Mr.Lefkaritis has exploded the budget as he has great aspirations for AEK and has provided Head Coach Linos Gabriel more than adequate resources to develop an outstanding team to be dominant in a National and International level.
Last year was only the beginning, and more great things are coming as the new team is in preparation for the soon to come games in the Champions League!
The initial stage of preparation is underway and despite key players having obligations with the Cypriot National team, the remaining team is training hard in Agros village.

The workouts are intensive and from what we have perceived probably painful too although it was well evident that everything was planned to the detail.
Great emphasis was given on conditioning and stamina so that the players get back in shape after their summer vacation.
